Wednesday Night Book Discussion

Join us at the Gates Mills Branch Library for a discussion of *Don't Sleep There Are Snakes: Life and Language in the Amazonian Jungle* by Daniel L. Everett. A linguist recounts his experiences with the Pirahäa, a small tribe of Amazonian Indians living in central Brazil whose language defies accepted linguistic theories and reflects a culture that has no counting system and lives entirely in the present. Everyone is welcomed to attend the discussion. Call the branch library for more information (440-423-4808).
