The Science of Christianity Talk & Reading Room Open House

For months, your neighbor, the First Church of Christ, Scientist, has been undergoing renovation. Thank you for your patience with our dust, backhoes, and dumpsters. You are invited to stop in and see the latest changes to the building, which grew from the 1836 Bishop house at the corners of Washington and Walnut streets. Enjoy the brief open house and organ prelude at 1:30 p.m. Stay for the free talk ?The Science of Christianity? at 2 p.m. by Mary Alice Rose. Ms. Rose?s interest in science and technology led to a 20-year career in different areas of applied physical science. Then join us afterwards, about 3:15 p.m., for a Reading Room open house at the corner of South Franklin and Washington streets. Take advantage of holiday specials. Come learn a little about Christian Science, see what the reading room has to offer, and peek inside the newly renovated building.
