Fall Planting for a Spring Harvest

Come to the Chagrin Falls Branch Library for a presentation that breaks the harvest down by winter vegetable gardening and a little bit of fall flower gardening. Our instructor discusses how planting vegetables in late summer and fall for harvest in late winter and spring. This includes addressing the site requirements, suggested plantings and types of methods. For flowers she will discuss methods and plant suggestions for perennials, biennials and hardy annuals. The emphasis will be on vegetables but the instructor will also touch on flowers. Note: Christine Harris is "Master Gardener of Ohio" for 2011. Congratulations, Christine!
