Chagrin Documentary Film Festival: Breaking Through The Clouds: The First Women’

Come to the Chagrin Falls Branch Library for a special viewing and discussion of *Breaking Through the Clouds: The First Women’s National Air Derby *, the 2011 Chagrin Documentary Film Festival Best of the Festival Award Winner. This 90 minute USA film was directed by Heather Taylor. Amelia Earhart and 19 other women defied convention by racing across the sky to compete in the first Women’s National Air Derby. With just a compass and road map to guide them, they navigated through rough weather, me¬chanical failures, public scrutiny and rumors of sabotage.
